This page is going to explain what a branding board is and why it's important to have one.
WHAT IS A BRANDING BOARD?
Branding boards are a critical part of the branding process as this is essentially where your brand is born!
Branding boards capture the essence of a brand or business.
It showcases the color palette, patterns, fonts and the overall feeling that the final brand will encompass.
Also included are 3 variations of the logo: a main logo, an alternative-submark and a favicon.
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO HAVE
It's very important to get a branding board put together in the early stages of the design process so that both the client and designer are on the same page. When both people are on the same page, there are less revisions as project moves forward.
It's also a useful style guide to refer back to and is good to have if another designer takes over down the road.
We'll work together on Pinterest and create a board specific for your business brand. Your job will be to pin 25-75 images you feel reflects your personal style the best. I'll then review your board and look for similarities between the images. From there we'll begin creating your branding board, including a color palette, font selection and the overall style.
Once we have that down, I'll start working on your logos. I'll design 3 variations of your logo; one horizontal logo for the header area of your website, one alternative sub-mark logo to be used in areas where a square image would look better, like a profile pic on social media, and one favicon icon logo to be displayed next to the URL of your site.
It's important to communicate clearly what you're looking for in a logo and pinning logo ideas on Pinterest might also be a good idea, in addition to your style images.
Additional concepts and revisions beyond the 3 included will be charged at an hourly rate of $60/hr.
Once your branding board is complete, we can start designing your website!
When your project is finalized and paid for in full, I will send you the files for your branding board and logos. Your branding board will be in a PDF format and each of your logos will be emailed to you in the following formats: AI, EPS, TIFF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, PDF. This will be everything you'd need for both printing and web purposes. By having an AI and an EPS file, you will be able to scale it to as big or as small as you need it to be, without it looking pixelated.
You will also own 100% of the artwork and copyrights of the logo and will be able to use it in anything you want! 🙂
